Pete the Cat used to be a household favorite. This episode introduces two new characters: the very obvious same-sex male parents of the character Sally the Squirrel, referred to as “Mr. Sally the Squirrel’s Dads” throughout the episode. There is no place for this progressive slant on an otherwise wholesome show. We are very disappointed in the Pete the Cat creators as a result of their decision to introduce this mature concept to such a young demographic. We will be taking our child’s attention and our dollars elsewhere. Thank you for reminding us we need to be more diligent in what our children are being exposed to.
