I Do Not Recommend
The very premise of this book hurts the African-American Community. Because out of all the communities in the United States that need Law Enforcement protection, we need it most and we've never had full protection. From reconstruction onward, we've never had the full protection of law enforcement in this country and it shows. The focus of the issue should not be on abolition but reform. In addition, the imagery on the book cover is harmful to African-American women. Based on a recent FBI report, four African-American women (and girls) were murdered each day in 2020. The majority of the perpetrators were *fill in the blank*. What does this tell you Mr. Kapernick? A future without police in our communities would mean genocide for Black women (and girls).
