EDIT 12/13/18: I spoke with an Amazon customer service representative and was told that they would escalate this issue to have it addressed and possibly amend the product review. Given the fact that this could have caused a fire in my home, I am surprised they did not offer a refund on the product, but I think the most important thing is to see if they actually address the fire and safety issue at its root. EDIT 11/11/18: YIKES!!! As another reviewer stated, these are NOT good for use above 400 degrees F!!! I put the mat in the oven and a few minutes later noticed a strange smell ...when I opened the oven, the mat was smoking! No oils or anything applied to it, this was definitely the mat itself! I have changed my review to one star and will be asking for a refund from Amazon. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been trying to reduce my carbon footprint, so I was looking for an eco-friendly alternative to aluminum foil to line my baking sheets. These mats were just the ticket! They fit perfectly on my 9x13 baking trays. In my opinion, these are even better than aluminum foil because I don't need to use any oil to make them non-stick! So I can cook even healthier. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends.
