I know it can be par for the course with hay, but for the first time in my 4 years of owning Guinea pigs this hay gave them lice. I’ve never ordered this brand before. For 4 years they’ve had the same brand. Nothing else changed but this hay. I even brought the hay in to the vet straight out of the box. I lost one of my pigs to this, but thank goodness the other two got treated and recovered without infection or issue. After many rounds of treatment, disinfecting cages multiple times, and throwing away a huge box of almost brand new hay I will not buy this brand again.
