Now I know that I will have much, much more when they hatch!!! I have also learned that these are Chinese Mantis Cocoons and the insects will prey on hummingbirds, butterflies and bumblebees!!! We do not need more of anything that kills our bees. The Chinese mantis will grow large. They are not native in America. Greenhouse growers recommend The Carolina mantis for the garden. They are small. I recommend that you learn about the mantis's before jou go ahead and buy. The Carolina Mantis is smaller and more beneficial for gardeners. I have a hummingbird and butterfly garden and do not want to maka any harm to my little friends! Beware!
