This is a difficult review to write as I am a real fan of the author. I looked forward to this book with great anticipation. I loved the book and was recommending it to friends as I read but now I have reached the end of the book and I am totally disappointed. There were so many developed story lines that were just left completely hanging when the book ended. I spent hours reading about a series of crimes being committed against women and all of the leads and investigation that was taking place but when the book ended it was like a main theme of the book had been ignored. Did the author run out of words or did the publisher tell her the book was too long? Something must have happened to leave so much unresolved. Most unsatisfying. Perhaps there will be a another book to clear up some of this but at my age I can't wait 5 or 6 years to resolve this frustration.
