Don't get me wrong...Dyson makes great products and it's a very cool little fan/heater...but I give this 1 star because for the price, this product needed to be outstanding and it's average! The positives include relatively quick heating and a fan that does not get hot and is not dangerous for small children and pets. It also doesn't really have a burning smell - except for the first few times using it. The negatives - it's pretty small! I read the specifications but I guess I didn't realize how small it was until we received it. Even though it's tiny, it does pack a mighty punch and can heat up a small room relatively quickly because of the way it blows the air...but I have to put the temperature on 99 (the highest it goes) at a 10 (the highest output level) in for order it to feel like it is warming our living room. Our living room is about 15 x 15 - not a big room really...and once the temperature hit 50 outside, it did not heat that well. It looks so small on the floor and the tilt on it is not that great so it feels like it's heating the floor before heating the air. Again, it's a great product but I have 4 different heaters in our house because I really wanted to see if the Dyson is worth the price. Versus my small fan heater, an oil filled Delonghi heater from 10 years ago and a Micathermic Flat Panel Heater (all 1500 watts)... I have to agree with a previous user...the specifications on this heater would have been nice to know before I spent this much money on this product! The flat panel at an 80% savings off the Dyson price, heats the room just as quickly, efficiently and nicely without the burning smell...but it does get a little hot...I can still pick it up by the back and carry it from room to room where as the Dyson you can touch at any time and it never feels hot. Not sure if I would consider that premium price as safe though...the wire still gets very hot and it blew my fuse 3 times so the danger of this heater is still there even though the actual product does get hot. Though, all of my other heaters...even the crappy little $20 heater fan are all WAY QUIETER than this Dyson fan! It is LOUD! Only great if you like white noise when you sleep! The good news is that it certainly heats up better than my $20 heater fan...my oil filled radiator heats up better than the Dyson but that also takes a really, really loooong. If you have the cash to spend - get this heater for a small room...if you don't - it is definitely NOT worth the price! Sorry Dyson! I'd rather buy 4 panels for the price of this tiny heater!
