But the problem is the motion-detector sensor. The problem is the narrow range of the sensor, and also its extremely short range. The sensor will only trigger the LED lamp if a body in motion is within 3' of the sensor. Even sometimes if I put my hand over the sensor, it won't activate the light. I do understand that Mr Beams is pushing the envelope of retail LED product. I wish them luck. In my case, mounting these lamps in a stairwell simply didn't work. Maybe I should have tested the sensors with Andre the Giant :)
