I was attracted to this device because it offered a way to check-in with contacts and also claimed to be seamlessly integrated with cellular / wifi / iridium. This makes sense! when you are on cellular send messages over cellular. Let me clarify what is meant here after using this and talking to support, 1) Messages cost 0.50$ a satellite message 2) Check-in always goes through satellite message, so every time you tap it, thats $0.50 3) When you press check-in that messages your check-in contact list, its $0.50 per contact per check-in For example,If you have two people on your list, thats $1.00 every time you press check-in 4) If you select send SMS/Email for checkin, thats two messages per contact, For example,If you have two people on your list, thats $2.00 every time you press check-in 5) THERE IS NO WAY TO CHECK HOW MANY MESSAGES YOU HAVE LEFT OR HAVE SENT OVER SATELLITE 6) This device does not "seamlessly switch" between anything useful for check-ins
