I’m giving 2 stars because I don’t think it’s fair to do 1 because I’m sure my experience with the product is not everyone’s. 1. It does have an odor not strong to a human but if I can smell something then I know my German Shepard with an excellent nose can smell it from a mile away. 2. My dog normally drinks a lot! Bowls and bowls of water a day. Once I put this in he was excited because he saw me do it and thought it was a treat of some sort but once tasted it he would not drink. Even after his walks in the heat he would go to bowl and then turn away. He wasn’t even drinking a whole bowl a day of water. The second day of using it he did drink a little more maybe 2 bowls but I think it was because he was so thirsty. 3. Made my dog sick. At around 3am after his 2nd day of being on it he started throwing up over and over again. Now my dog does throw up on occasion after eating or drinking to much and moving to much to soon after. It takes him about 2hrs after eating before he can take a walk or play ball or anything if to soon he will throw up. When he throws up its clearish white foam or just his dog food with clear liquid. But when he started throwing up at 3am it was completely different it honestly looked and smelled like diarrhea it was brown and smelled like poop. I wasn’t sure if it was the product or if he maybe ate some grass on our walk that maybe had something sprayed on it. My dog doesn’t go outside except for his 2-3 walks a day. So I knew it couldn’t of been anything else. The 3rd day I did not give it to him and only fresh water and he seemed fine. Just more clingy than he normally is. He is my Velcro dog but he wanted me to pretty much hold him all day (he’s a 75lb german Shepard 1yr old puppy) so I normally don’t hold him! Mid afternoon of 4th day I decided he ate some grass with something sprayed on it so I decided to give him more of the product in his water but diluted it 1tsp to 32oz water which they say 1tsp to 8oz. He again didn’t want to really drink it but after a long walk he did drink some. When it was time to go to bed he wasn’t acting right. Didn’t want to sleep, wouldn’t lay on his bed, finally laid on his bed curled up in a ball with his head laid back but wasn’t sleep. His eyes looked absolutely pitiful. I knew he wasn’t feeling good. He kept moving around all night then in the morning he started throwing up again. So I now know it’s from the water additive. I will no longer give it to my pup, maybe there is something natural I can give him without the chemicals. I’m sure it works great for most dogs and cats but I wanted to let people know it did make my dog really sick and throw up what seemed like bowels.
