These are very pretty containers. However, I noticed at the bottom of the box that there is a disclaimer stating that there is a chemical used in the product that the state of California considers as hazardous (see picture). Yikes! Perhaps it's the seal of the container because there's a strong plastic/solvent smell? I was going to store flour, sugar etc. in these containers, so I will purchase another set.
