Nice unboxing experience, do not recommend , will be returning
So I watched at least 20 video reviews on this before buying, pulled the trigger when it was on sale for $400 and immediately regretted it.
Upon unboxing which was a nice experience (better than most), when writing notes or drawing lines it jumps pixels unless you press unnaturally on the stylus. However my biggest feedback is that the UI probably has the longest way to go overall, seeing it in review videos and then being able to use it was a completely different perspective and feel.
Organizationally, it's a bit of a mess, and doesn't allow for you to organize notes organically, or enhance the note taking experience beyond what is possible with pen and paper. Say for a moment you want to take a collection of notes you wrote and add them to today's list of notes, you can't. No simple circle to select, copy and paste to a new sheet, for something that would've been a major productivity hack and time saver. Furthermore duplicating or organizing prior notes isn't organic as I mentioned, say you want to take a page of you took and toss them into a project collection. Good luck, you'll spend more time figuring out how to organize your notes and thoughts more so than focusing on the task at hand.
Overall, some people may love the product in the current state but pen and paper still wins the day in terms of productivity, which defeats it's whole utility. They desperately need a UX / UI engineer to reface the entire software before I'd consider looking at this again, it seems based on how things are that they currently don't collectively know what problem they are really solving or who their target demo is.
If it's meant to be a productivity tool, it's missing the mark in many ways as it doesn't enhance beyond what someone can do right now and connectivity to other devices and services on the fly is lacking. Imagine for a minute you could broadcast your notes over WiFi to your office projector or TV to the entire conference room as you write your notes. How much easier meetings would be!? Unfortunately it doesn't do this despite having WiFi capability. Would completely replace the need for white boards!
Lack of vision.
Overall, major re-haul needed, it's got a long way to go before serving it's purpose as a utility product.
Was really hoping that it would've been different or at least open ended so I could add extensions to the existing software to meet the edge cases I described above to help it get up to par.
Maybe in the next variation I'll give it another look.
