it does indeed bubble and foam. Not something I'd recommend for well water as it does not get rid of the accumulation of mineral deposits on the inside of the tank. If you have utility water and stay ahead of mineral build up, it's probably a pretty good product. The indication of filthy and sparkling as before and after is purely the typical advertising BS. You can probably achieve the same results yourself with citric acid and baking soda.
