How does a "new" router come with these settings? (picture attached)
My C9 arrived today, I was excited to plug it in and turn it on. After turning it on I couldn't find the default WIFI SSID, instead there were new "Ehrgott2.4 and "Ehrgott_5G" networks available nearby... so I plugged into the router to configure that way (since I couldn't access it via WIFI) and discovered that my "new" router wasn't using default settings, both the SSID and password were different from what they should be (picture attached). I did a full factory reset to make sure I had a clean slate, and the SSID changed to what the literature said it should be, confirming that Ehrgott isn't an alternative default. I was still going to try the router, but the WAN port didn't work (I tested lots of ways, definitely a bad port). I even updated the firmware to see if that would wake up the WAN port, all to no avail. I'll be purchasing a different brand, because new routers (especially in this price range) shouldn't have non-standard settings and defective ports.
I have theories as to how this could have happened, but apparently they violate review guidelines... so you'll have to draw your own conclusions as to how a "new" router can be delivered with non-default settings.
