I have had this pressure cooker for 7 months and it's worked well up until tonight. I begain making soup in the pressure cooker and, as usual, the pressure built up and started to whistle, so I turned down the heat and let it cook. After a few minutes, the pressure stopped but I thought it was just that the heat was too low, so I turned it back up but nothing happened until the stopper valve blow off and I had soup everywhere!!! It scared us to death!! Needless to say, I spent the next hour cleaning soup off my ceiling, light fixtures, counter tops! It appears that the pressure release gauage didn't activate. I'm very dissapointed with this product and I'm now too scared to use it again! I've written the company to see if they will replace it, we'll see.....
