This battery was a snap to install and worked from the get go. The suction seems at least on par with the factory battery, if not more so. I haven’t had it long enough or worked it hard enough (as yet) to comment on the longevity of the battery or the length of the battery run time. I trust it will shine in those departments as well. Edit: I bought this in Oct, 2020. It’s now early March, 2021. The battery will not hold a charge. The Dyson has been very lightly used during this time (and in fact, during the entire life of the V7)—perhaps a total of 6-8 times. In those 6-8 uses, only a time or two did I run the battery down all the way, about 15-20 min of mixed use on regular and maximum suction. Could there be an off chance that something is wrong with the Dyson itself? Maybe, but the last time I used it, it was fine. Now it stays on for a second and goes off. When placed on the charging base, the blue charging light goes off within 2 minutes. I would NOT recommend this battery. I’ll be getting rid of this unit and on the hunt for a less expensive unit with a reliable and long lived battery.
