Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This alarm is supposed to last 10 years. It failed after just one year. But it wasn't the battery that failed, the alarm just started going off for no reason. And it kept going off even after removing it from the ceiling. Since the battery is sealed and can't be removed. I couldn't stop it from going off. Just about drove us crazy! I ended up putting it in a bucket of water, and even then it still went off once. I will never get a unit with a sealed battery again, because you cannot stop it from screaming if it has a false reading.
