i purchased this item on August 4 2017. it stopped working on may 19th 2018. 9 months service out of a 3 yr warranty. of course i call in right away because ... well it's the mighty cuisinart all quality ever lasting and all that jazz. i was told it would ship out in a few days so call back and get the tracking number and you will know when it arrives. that was on a saturday, so i all back on thursday. no action yet but was told they would contact the cuisinart gods and expedite. another week no action and was told the same. 3 weeks go by and nothing. then just thursday june 14th a new one arrives. i waited till saturday evening of june 16 to unpack and set up to make waffles on sunday the 17 father's day. waffles for me and my boys! i even bought strawberries and whipped cream. the waffle iron is plugged in and has the power light and ready light on. THERE IS NO HEAT! it will not pre heat!! this is so disappointing and rediculous!!! feeling robbed and no relief!
