Lousy. Older Defender Series cases were excellent. :-(
For the last several phones, I have always used the OtterBox Defender Series. I have told my friends and family to get them (and they have). They (were) great cases. Unfortunately, the version for the Galaxy S7 is terrible. The plastic screen protector doesn't rest flush on the screen of the phone. Because of this, it's very difficult to perform drag motions (such as pulling down the top bar). It's also nearly impossible to select a letter on the right side when trying to advance through the Contact list, because the screen protector doesn't rest flush with the screen. Some basic taps in the middle of the screen take extra force, too. *** Beginning of video is Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S7 (terrible). *** Second half of video is Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S4 (fantastic). (See more about the video below) I called OtterBox about this. After waiting on the phone for quite a while, I talked to someone that was very defensive and told me that my case must have been a "one in a million" anomaly and that they had never heard of that problem (very doubtful). Despite the fact that I had purchased it only a few days earlier, the offer they game me was to pay for a warranty replacement (which based on their initial defensiveness didn't give me much hope for a fixed product). It's obvious that they have some product design problems with this version. The one from Amazon had a February 2016 manufacture date. One that I purchased elsewhere had a March 2016 manufacture date. Unfortunately, both had the same problem. Perhaps someone at OtterBox will acknowledge the problem and make a correction in the manufacturing? Maybe in a couple months, someone with a more recent date of manufacture (it's on the interior of each part they make - an arrow to the number of the month, year on each side of the arrow) will report that a fix has been made? Let's hope! EDIT: Added a video to show the massive difference between screen protector on Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S7 vs the Otterbox Defender for Galaxy s4. *** Beginning of video is Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S7 (terrible). *** Second half of video is Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S4 (fantastic). Notice that the screen protector for the S7 bows out and is not flush with the screen. This makes it difficult to type, swipe, or generally use the S7 with this product in place. It's almost impossible to touch fine details on the edges. The screen protector for the S4 is flush and works perfectly. I strongly recommend against buying the Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S7 until Otterbox acknowledges the problem and fixes it.
