This is the second one I purchased because I loved my first one. I used it frequently for approx 20-30 minutes without issue. It dried my hair evenly and quick. However, it lasted me about a year until it started making weird fan sounds so I quickly bought another one. Not knowing the lifespan of a hooded hair dryer, I didn't think much of it lasting only one year. However, my second one is approx 6 months old and it's already giving me problems like making weird fan sounds (again), overheating, and the plug is extremely hot to the touch despite using a outlet made for high voltage. If you think about it, it's essentially a blow dryer which most people use daily and can last for years. I'm out of the return period and it's simply not worth writing or returning to the mfr. on my dime because even in pieces, it's such a large bulky item. After having two and now having to move onto my third, I highly recommend buying a better quality dryer that will last longer. They're all somewhat in the same price range anyway.
