Yet another good product ruined by a greedy corporation
We've been happily feeding this to our dog for years as a wonderful base for a variety of proteins of our choosing. A while back a large corporation bought out this family-owned Minnesota company and we worried that it was only a matter of time until the accountants sat down and determined how to mess with the quality of the formula to squeeze more profits out of the brand. Sadly, that time has arrived. Broccoli, which used to be the third ingredient, no longer exists. Also, among the now "globally" sourced ingredients, there is no more celery; instead of flax seed meal, the ingredients now list flax seed, which is not digestible in whole form. There is no longer ginger root, no more garlic (beneficial in small quantities), and no more sunflower oil for a healthy fat. Recent years have seen larger corporations and funds buy up profitable brands only to destroy the reason that consumers loved them in the first place. We were very sorry to see this happen with Sojos, and are currently looking for a new brand that has not yet been compromised for the sake of ever greater profits.
