I really like this item. My pets liked it even more. It is cute and is an entertaining way for them to drink water. HOWEVER, the filter aspect to this fountain is horrible. This fountain got dirty and slimy way too quick. I change the water frequently. One day I noticed black worms swimming in the water (gross). I cleaned the entire fountain thoroughly and disinfected. Once I filled it back up with water I checked the status of the water 5 hours later and noticed more black worms. I check the filter and it is FILLED with black worms. I am disgusted and feel horrible for allowing my pets to drink wormy water.
