It begins with an opening statement splashed across the screen that disappointedly forces their woke politics upon the viewer. The message succeeds in simultaneously announcing their fundamental lack of historical knowledge as well as demonstrating their hypocrisy. Now, let's get to the "good stuff." Other than a terrific cast and some beautiful scenery, there is not much "good stuff" to discuss. The entire storyline, and I do mean all of it, is absurd and not in a good way--unless of course it's supposed to be a comedy. In that case, bravo, well done! Unfortunately, I believe this was supposed to be a seriously suspenseful drama, and there is nothing funny about that. While the trailer delivers brilliantly, the movie does not. I found myself frequently throughout the film saying things like, "this is ridiculous" and "are they serious?" Rather than pick apart all of the various things that made this film especially messy, I will simply end by saying to you, "please do not waste your time or money like I did." Caveat emptor.
