The ARW1209 ratchet is hefty, but I haven't verified its robustness in use, and have rated it one-star, because I'm returning it due to failing to fulfill the product description. Amazon description: "Variable speed paddle with electronic brake for control and versatility." The variable speed feature is also mentioned in the manual. However, the ARW1209 doesn't have variable speed, and it doesn't brake when you release the trigger. So in constrained spaces where you can't easily rotate the entire tool there's no way to gently nudge the socket into alignment with the nut or bolt. There's also no way to jog a nut or bolt slowly home instead of at full torque. Amazon description: "only 10-inch length well balanced and Light Weight (less than 2 lbs)." I measured 10.7" without battery, and 11.8" with, and 2.35 lb without battery, and 2.75 lb with. Finally, the ratchet does have an LED for lighting the work, unlike some competitors. However, other ratchets shine the LED when you first slightly depress the lever, so you can see while maneuvering the socket onto the nut or bolt. The ARW1209's trigger is only on/off for the motor and LED jointly, so to get some light you have to have the ratchet running full speed. The single speed, the lack of braking, and the LED only being on while running all encourage you to jam the socket onto the fastener while running the ratchet full speed. In summary, this is the tool you get when there's just a single on-off switch, with not even the minimal electronics that would make it work with you rather than against you.
