I really wanted to like this unit. The design is revolutionary. But it is like a prototype. It is clunky, funky, and strange. I bought the U shaped Midea at the same time. Wow what a difference in products. The Midea is polished and finished. I like the fact that the Soleus really leaves the whole window view still available. But the unit isn’t as quiet as the Midea. Nor is it as cooling. And I have a big problem with the Soleus. There is an FL light that comes on after about 30 mins. And then you have to drain the unit. Are you kidding me?! Unusable.
