NOT for St. Augustine Grass
I bought a new Landroid L so I could cut back on mowing in the Florida Summer heat. When I set the boundary around a small area in my yard, the Landroid could barely move. I have thick Floratam St. Augustine grass that grows about 1/4" per day. Right now I have to mow every 4-5 days. I typically mow at 4", however, I cut down to 3.5" before laying the boundary wire. The Landroid cutting disk is flipped and set to 3.9". I’ve included a video of the Landroid getting stuck. The grass is dry and the ground is level. The body of the Landroid lawnmower is too low to drive through grass that is any taller than 3”. I do not understand how Worx claims their mower can cut at a height of 3.9” if the mower cannot even drive in grass that height. Worx support did not have any suggestions for this issue. I’ve returned the mower. Prior to my purchase I could not find any information regarding the Landroid cutting a St Augustine lawn, so hopefully this helps save someone some time.
