I did a lot of research before buying this TV. TCL has gotten a good reputation for having high quality at a low price. I had bad banding on both sides of my screen when light colors were shown (see pic) so I contacted TCL’s customer service. The girl on the phone told me that’s normal. I wouldn’t accept that answer so she had me send some pictures and they would email me back. I was shocked at the response (see email pic)! The fact that their service department doesn’t see any defect is insulting to me. After reading other Amazon reviews it seems like this is a serious issue for some but not all. I liked everything about this TV and would love to get a replacement that doesn’t have this issue but I told them I would never buy one of their products again. If they can’t admit to something so obvious why take the risk.
