I recently purchased the fan in June of 2012. I really liked the fan because it does look great and is quiet at all speeds. I only wish it had a brighter lighting fixture since it comes with 2 60 watt bulbs with a frosted glass. About a month after installing it the lights started to shoot sparks from it, and no longer works. The fan was installed above my bed which could have started a serious fire. After that I decided to check consumer affairs on the internet. I found that they did a recall of this product on March 21, 2012 Release #12-135 because of possible fire due to the lighting fixture isn't rated for 60 watt bulbs. they also stated that under federal law it is illegal to attempt to sell or resell this product. Their fix for the fans lighting problem is using 2 40 watt bulbs which wouldn't be very bright at all. In my opinion I don't recommend that anyone buy this product.
