I am so disappointed in this book. Perhaps it was because of the impossibly slow pace, the never ending words, the beekeeping jargon, the tiresome characters or wait...the author's need to express her political and social ideologies. This was no more than an attempt for the author to write about a topic she feels is dealt with unjustly in the country today. To make matters worse, It came out of nowhere. The reader is in the middle of a passage, almost 3/4 of the way done with the book, when the book takes a sharp turn and it becomes about social injustice. I have no problem with pp having their views, most of which I 1000% agree with, but I just personally feel that a novel has no place for an author's personal views, unless conveyed as such.
