Worked wonderfully for less than a year, then the water pump stopped working. Shouldn't have been too big a problem, because it was still under warranty. I called the company, and they would only service it if I took it to an authorized repair center--the closest center is a five-hour drive away. The only other option they would give me was to ship the entire cleaner to them at my own expense, and that the repair would take upwards of a month and a half. This is horrendous service on a cheap machine that I paid far too much for for it to break after less than a year of not-particularly-rigorous usage. I'm done with Rug Doctor. Period. I'm replacing the machine with a Bissell, and counting this experience as a very expensive lesson learned. Rug Doctor has name recognition, but they produce a terrible, shoddy, cheap product that they charge far too much for. Stay away.
