NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BABIES. Im not a picky mom or overly cautious mom but this mattress is laughable. I hate to leave a bad review, but I wanted to leave this for anyone who is wanting this for a baby crib. I had been searching for a crib mattress for our 5 month old. I decided on this one since its waterproof and a good price and fair reviews. However, I will NOT be using this for my infant. I gave it to my toddler as a play toy. If you are planning to use it, u will need to cut a hole in the cover. Its so inflated (and doesnt go away) that when i just press on one side (and my 25lb toddler sits on one side) he goes flying off of it. Its like laying on an overly inflated bounce house floor. You literally roll/bounce all over the place. The springs are all over and can be felt when barely pressing on it. I wouldnt even think of placing my baby on it, as she would just bounce off of it. Im sure if i cut the cover and let the air out it would be ok, but dont wana ruin the cover. Its definitely water proof and would work as a dog bed I suppose but would not recommend to anyone looking for a baby mattress. Horribly loud, bouncy, uncomfortable and uneven. Maybe mine has a defect because its actually laughable. Atleast my toddler has fun boucing off of it
