I love Acorn and I've had a subscription for the past 3 years and have always had to watch it on my ipad app. I was so happy that I could finally use my subscription to watch it on my firestick. I would rather use my ipad and just airplay it onto my tv than use the firestick app. First of all, it is not user friendly, my watchlist that I can see on my ipad has the shows I want but when I try to open the show I get "no content" and the only option is to close down the firestick app. Turns out, unlike with the ipad app where you add a show to your watchlist and you can see all the episodes, with the firestick app, you have to add each episode individually to your watchlist for it to show up. The biggest problem is the streaming. It stops and starts several times during everything I watch. Sometimes the sound stays playing while the screen freezes and unfreezes for several minutes. When it freezes altogether, you have to exit the app and then start all over. The problem isn't in my internet connection because I can pull up my netflix, pbs, and other apps and stream no problem. In short, I will continue to airplay to stream acorn from my ipad until they figure out how to clear up the bugs.
