One doesn't expect much from a $20 can opener but this item didn't meet those minimal expectations. Within three months of purchase, something broke inside and the gear with the teeth that turns the can no longer turns. You can clearly hear something rattling around inside. To add insult to injury, the three year limited warranty gives us the privilege of paying Cuisinart $10 to ship us a replacement. And then we get to pay to ship the broken one to them. USPS one cost shipper is $5.20. So that's $15 to replace a $20 can opener plus the hassle of messing with them. I would rather put the $15 into another can opener which might last over three months.
