.. the handle can get out of alignment when chopping vegetables (I used it on quartered medium onions, chunks of potatoes and zucchini). When out of line, the blades slice into the plastic of the slicer push block, resulting in plastic bits in the food. The device is now unusable, and I've set it aside. If you buy this, I recommend smaller chunks of softer food, taking care to keep the blades in line. Watch for plastic chips and examine the push block when you clean it.
