After less than a month of use, it is going to a new purpose. We use a bamboo brush (from Ruhlman) to clean our carbon steel pans. In just a few weeks draining in this caddy, the bamboo brush grew black mold and had to be tossed. I hate to think what would happen to a sponge. There just aren't air vents on the sides and thus things do not dry out rapidly. On the positive side: the caddy looks nice, cleans up easily, and I love having the drain bin underneath to catch water. The removable divider is a nice touch. We may keep it for dish brushes (head up) but we won't use it for anything that needs air circulation on the lower part.
