$1000 piece of hardware with ads you can't remove...
While the TV is fine Samsung decided to show you ads with no option to opt-out. Also the device only has HDMI cables, so it won't support 4k at 120hz, but you can manage 1440p @120hz if you fiddle with it a little. To get around the ads you'll need to purchase a 4k chromecast or firestick, or go the DYI approach and install a pihole (or play domain blocking whack-a-mole on the router). Really disappointed that I thought I could opt out of the ads, but apparently that's the SONY tvs that you can do that, Samsung really doesn't give a crap about making a decent user interface, it's all about that ad revenue baby.
So if you're buying this TV because it'll get 120hz 4k, it doesn't (because the Samsung apps only serve 60hz content, and you can't push 120hz 4k over HDMI 2). So if you're using this for gaming, the best you can get is 120hz 1440p.
The only way I can justify this is to disconnect the TV from the internet (these TVs are also well known for having poor security and a huge violation to your privacy, plus hackers love that they have a microphone & web browser installed so they can mine your data and use your hardware as part of their bot army, but if the device isn't connected to the internet ever you should be safe enough) and use a streaming stick, which means you'll need to factor that into the price of the TV, and then all of the inconvenience that comes with that.
F*** you Samsung!
