Let me start off by saying that this made the BEST coffee I have ever made from a single brew machine. Hands down. It also makes the hottest coffee ever! If you choose that setting. Perfect for my husband who loves very hot coffee. So I got the machine and set it up according to the directions. I was excited so I read through them all. There weren’t that many to begin with so it didn’t take long. I made my first cup and blammo! Instant yum. It did take about a min longer to brew then my cuisenart keurig but I thought who cares if it makes the best coffee, right? I set up the presets for myself and my husband, which I thought was an amazing feature, and I was good to go! My husband came home and said, “ooh, can you make me a cup of the “best” coffee?” Damn right! I put in his favorite kind and walked into the other room. He yelled out “hey, this thing shut off” and I said “no, have patience, it takes a little longer but it’s worth the wait”. I went back into the kitchen and saw that it indeed had shut off and he only had about 3 oz of his 10oz coffee. So I went ahead and grabbed another k cup and watched this time. It started brewing and then shut off mid brew. WTF?! I started a duck duck go search for any possible solutions and found only a couple of ppl on Reddit to have had the same issue and no one had a fix. I decided to stop searching online and just call. I got a fantastically happy CSR. She told me the likely issue was that the k cup I used for my husband was not Keurig approved and that the machine will not accept any brands that are not k cup approved. Umm, ok. She then told me that my husband will have to just find another k cup, hahahaha. Ummm, ha.....ha......what?!!!! Yeah, no. I hung up, let me just say that I have an issue with not trying things while on the phone with technicians and then having more issues and being pissed that I hung up too soon. Well, that’s what happened here. I now opened my husbands k cup and dumped the contents into the k cup they send along if you want to add your own coffee. I figured that will FOR SURE WORK, right? Wrong. Same thing. Stopped mid brew and only gave 3oz. Now I’m furious. My old coffee pot had been dead for a few days now and I’m dying to make my coffee at home. That one lasted about 5 years and I killed it by not descaling as often as I should have. Actually, I’m taking that thing apart today. I digress. Anyway, now the machine is telling me to descale. Huh? New coffee maker? Whatever. Well, there is nowhere in the directions or on the box telling you how to descale and there is no “rinse” or “descale” buttons on it. Now I’m super pissed. So I go online, onto the Keurig website to learn how to descale and they don’t show my machine. They show the same machine just not the plus version I have so it’s different. Well, I’ll try to do what they are doing. Nope. Nothing. I also notice all the not so great reviews on their website for this machine and am now even more pissed that I didn’t go off Amazon to look for other reviews. Long story short, lol, thank you Amazon for making returns super easy. I am packing this thing up and am ordering my old coffee make again if I can’t get the broken one working. Look, bottom line, maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. It’s possible. I’m human. I’m of average intelligence. It’s not supposed to be rocket science. I believe there is something wrong with the machine itself since I’m not the only one experiencing these same issues. For $163.00 it should work. Period. Buy at your own risk and be prepared to have issues. If you don’t have issues. Yay for you and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. I really do hope you have a better experience. Oh, and I too didn’t get the bundle. The picture shows that you get the k-cups too but they did not come with it.
