The writing, story and female lead character were so bad I didn't even finish the book. I slogged about a third of the way through it, and then I just couldn't take it any more. The male lead, Luke, wasn't too bad. He had some appeal and some genuineness. But Eva was that irritating, annoying female character, who, under the guise of being "feisty" and "plucky" sticks her nose into EVERYTHING and argues about EVERYTHING, just to show the supposedly chauvinistic male that he's not the boss of her. Even in clearly dicey, not to mention life or death situations, where the guy knows what he's doing & how to keep her safe, she argues. It's not charming & it's not sexy. It's STUPID. Like this book.
