Well built, quiet, slow & can't rip a full CD! Not recommended.
I purchased this drive in an attempt to get one that is well built & quiet. I use it on a PC & only recently added a MAC Mini. This drive is well built & quiet, but that's at the expense of working well. It is very slow. Especially when ripping CDs. I don't know exactly when it started having a problem with ripping, but it now fails on at least one of the higher numbered tracks. The drive completed the rip, but the track is corrupted. Usually toward the end of the track. This has happened on 4 of the last CDs I ripped. Some of the CDs are long, but some are not, so no clue if it's related to the position on the disc??? Anyway, save some money & get something else. The Superdrive ain't gonna work anyway!
