This product warps and changes shape badly in direct sunlight. I used extra stakes to nail it down securely in hard strong soil and it didn't help. It appears to be made from plastic with poor thermal stability. In other words it expands and contracts more than other plastics under the same conditions. Using engineering jargon, it appears to have a high coefficient of thermal expansion. Also, I live in the Pacific Northwest where the weather is moderate and lacking in extremes compared to most of the US. Furthermore, my neighbors are not having this problem with their lawn edging under the same conditions.
