The ending tho
I guess in future this is what we can now expect from Hollywood and suchlike: politically correct unfunny drivel. The singing was awful and warbly which, considering they Glee-fied a bunch of old classic hits…was hard to keep a straight face. Oh and the Prince is a feckless spoiled brat with zero direction who, after seeing Cinderella like three times, decides to abdicate the throne in favor of his sister. Yay! The overlooked princess gets to rule after her father croaks. And Cinderella doesn’t want to get married. Because, you know, feminism! She is after all a very modern woman in a corset who talks to mice and she’s decided to follow a Queen around, designing dresses for royalty instead of becoming royalty…tell me that’s not realistic. Well, tbh, I don’t blame her coz I wouldn’t want to marry that putz of a prince. So yeah, the prince is a spineless man-child who very realistically gives up the crown to follow ole Cindy around the world and Cindy herself is just so free-thinking and so modern that she’d give up royalty and power (which she could do a lot of good with) and wants to just design dresses. I’m repeating myself, I know. But hey, it’s all in the name of feminism, right. I’m surprised they didn’t just do away with the prince altogether. He served zero purpose. Just a heartless soulless adaptation of a fairy tale that obviously needed a liberal dose of modernizing. Jokes weren’t funny at all. Singing was mostly rubbish. The mice were really the best part.
