No suction at all. This thing is a joke. I've used portable dust busters that have more suction than this. This thing is only good for large pieces of trash. Won't pick up lint dirt or dog hair stuck in the fibers of the carpet. Price was the reason I initially purchased but now regret the purchase entirely. Look at a different vacuum for your auto, this one just doesn't cut it.
