840v4 NOT the same or even close as 840v3
I could not find my size (9) of Women's NEW Balance 840v3 sneakers. I contacted New Balance to complain that they discontinue shoes too quickly and don't stock common sizes well enough. I was told the NEW 840v4 sneaker was essentially same as the 840v3 except for the colors. New Balance told me directly that they did not change arch, or add any shoe posts for pronation to the version4. So, I bought a brand new pair. The shoes barely fit (same size as I always get). The heel shape was completely different than the 840v3 and the arch was different too - my heel "wobbled" in the 840 v4. The new and very expensive 840v4 shoes caused ankle pain and cramped tarsal bones across the mid arch.
