Not a miracle
Some background up front. I'm 29, and I've had ETD pretty much my entire life. Tubes when I was a kid, severe allergies and general ear/sinus unpleasantness. I have to manually pop my ears constantly throughout the day by pinching my nose shut and trying to breathe out of it, which is what most people know as "popping their ears." My problem is that while there is still pressure applied and the eustachian tube opens during the pop, it closes immediately and and the pressure returns instantly. Which brings me to this product. It helps you pop your ears. It's just like the pinching your nose method, but much more intense. I would imagine that this will aid greatly with colds and other situations where the pinching method isn't enough, but if you're able to pop your ears normally this doesn't do a thing. But, that said, that's the purpose of this device -- to pop your ears for you. The pop that this product induces is powerful, but it doesn't stick. My ETD is just as painful as always. The biggest reason for the negative review is that the price is *outlandish* and there are no refunds allowed. I went out on a limb to try this because the only thing that helps my ETD is pseudophedrine, which is dangerous for my high blood pressure. That remains the only thing on the market that helps relieve the pressure and allows my ears to "breathe." I was hoping that the added stream of air this product provides would help, but it doesn't. The Ear Popper does what it says in the description, but remember this: if you're able to manually pop your ears, this device isn't going to do anything to help you.
