At what point does a company decide that damaging its reputation with cheaply made accessories like this just isn't worth it? Dremel certainly hasn't reached that point, yet. As I opened the shipping box I found the box for the Dremel Router Table 231 wide open. OK, as I removed the router I could readily see scratches all over this all plastic router (like it had already been used or that it was just poorly made), the clear plastic pieces had a yellowed hue and were also scratched, and the plastic seams looked like someone used their finger to mush it together (really Dremel?). Just like the thumb screws, the knurled screw is also cheap plastic but here it was painted to look like metal (that is just so pathetic isn't it)! Well I wanted to be fair about this and to not just react to what may end up being only cosmetic issues so I gave it a dry run. Unfortunately, I quickly noticed the cheap plastic screws were already loosening from a little vibration. Also that the overall construction let the Dremel wobble, which would suggest that you'll have a hard time making any straight lines and accurate cuts. Even the darn stickers and Dremel's name tag were put on crooked, bent, & were hanging half off. While this detail doesn't affect functionality it does speak to the overall shoddy production value & lack of any real Quality Control measures in place. C'mon Dremel you used to be so good!!! Bottom line: Don't waste your money on this shoddy POS! I'm going to follow the advice of another reviewer & return it and go buy a quality made product, even if it ends up at 2-3x the cost.
