We bought the iFetch after mulling over the idea for several months. When we finally decided to buy it only took our dog about six times to be shown how to use it. It is her favorite toy and she loves it, we also love the product HOWEVER there is a serious problem with it. The balls that come with the unit wore out in a matter of hours. When our dog chewed on them they popped and broke along the seam where the balls were glued together. We ordered five more of the balls. Each of them also popped within a matter of hours and we were extremely concerned by this. As you’ll see from the photographs these are what happen when your pet chews on them. The middle ball on the right is one that has not been chewed on yet, however as you can see from the top and the bottom ball they break along the seam easily when your pet chews on them ( and we have a small dog!) What we found most concerning is the ball on the left, if you are not constantly watching your dog they will tear the ball up into little pieces and clearly this is a choking hazard for pets. I called the company, I fetch, today at 512-219-3271. They acknowledhed this was a problem and offered they were trying to work on a fix, they recommended that we purchase Kong balls for the unit as they had heard from owners kong balls were more durable. This is not a solution! It is very irresponsible for a company to knowingly continue to sell these items! We will never use these types of balls again because we are concerned about the choking hazard to our dog! Very sad!
