★★☆☆☆
first week at work RN
As an RN working at two hospitals, I have tried this unit for a week, so far it has been great and the other nurses and aids I have shown it to, most of them are going to buy one. It is so easy and fast to use I feel I am really saving time, as for accuracy it is better than any oral thermometer I have ever used, the real mean average body temp is 98.2 not 98.6 so this one reads closer to the correct temp. I picked up a mild fever with this unit that the hospitals $450.00 thermometer could not pick up due to the client not being able to close his mouth all the way. Every hospital should use these to save time and money. This one works on all ages unlike thermofocus. The only negatives are that for me it is too big to comfortably put in your pocket and feels like the typical Chinese plastic that if dropped may destroy it. Have not dropped it yet so I am not sure how tough it really is. Update! I have stopped using this unit as it failed on me, now I use a far superior one called sanomedics sbt01 talking non contact thermometer its small and a great improvement. The only thing about these types of units is the skin must be good and dry (not super dry) to be accurate. http://www.amazon.com/Sanomedics-Sbt01-Talking-Non-Contact-Thermometer/dp/B002TRQLKU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3BYKQL9URR0L4&coliid=IIYM3O8EI9GSN
