I was really looking forward to trying these, but unfortunately, they just don’t work as advertised for me. I bought the 12 pack (which is advertised for a heavy flow). By day 2 of my cycle I had already used half the pack. They advertise that the disk can be worn for 12 hours, which in theory sounds lovely, but I feel like that only works if you have a pretty light flow. Even though I inserted the disk correctly I still found myself running to the bathroom to catch leaks. I can’t imagine trying to have sex while wearing one of these because mine have been leaking so horribly. It would be a disaster. The disk is also terribly messy to remove. One reason I was drawn to trying Flex was because it advertised that it could hold up to 3 super tampons full of blood. That only works if the “cup” part of the disk is fully open inside your body. Maybe it is when it’s inside my body, but it flattens when you take it out, making for a very messy experience. The one pro that this disk has is that once it’s inside correctly it’s extremely comfortable. I couldn’t feel it at all. I just wish I could leave it in for more than an hour or two at a time. All in all, this did not work for me and wasn’t worth the money. It is quite expensive for a product that has to be thrown away after each use.
