This review pertains to all Clarisonic systems. They work great when it comes to exfoliating - I pretty much agree with all of the positive comments on results. However, after a while, the Clarisonic units loose their ability to hold and maintain their charges - usually pretty soon after the manufacturer's warranty expires. I bought one of the 2nd generation units and a later generation unit, paying a lot more than they are charging for the Mia's, and it seems to be a universal issue. Clarisonic is notoriously unhelpful despite the fact that this is a serious flaw in their high-priced units. Their customer service is unresponsive, and when you do get someone on the phone, there is never resolution. They have refused to replace with a refurbished unit or change out the battery on my unit for a fee. I was willing to pay for their servicing and they refused! They are clearly considered to be disposable units. So , do they work? Yes! BUT - you should consider the price and the fact that you will have to replace it every year if you want to keep up with it. There are now a lot of less-expensive but comparable units on the market. I recommend you do your homework before you lay down your hard-earned cash for a Clarisonic!
