I'm a barista for a company that imports, roasts, and runs specialty coffee shops. I get free beans but we don't dark roast our beans and my family loves dark roast coffee so I got these because I like the company's message. The taste is ok, but the quality of beans is absolutely subpar. My company sells 1 lb bags of single origin specialty beans for about the same price and I rarely ever find broken or misshapen beans in our bags. I opened this bag up and I'd say about 25% of the contents were either broken pieces or malformed beans. This is poor quality control on behalf of black rifle coffee and the farms they work with. Maybe if they spent less time and money on cool marketing ploys and more on improving their coffee they'd continue to get my business. Next time I'll save my money and buy a better quality dark roast coffee for less from another company and then use the leftover cash I would've had to spend on a bag of black rifle to donate to a 2nd Amendment rights organization myself.
